This is a very small store located in a very elegant and expensive neighborhood in northern part of Tehran for selling high quality handmade crystals. The total area of this store is 40 square meters.
A contradiction between the small size and the intended program (A luxury multi-brand store) was the main challenge in design process. We looked for an idea and a solution to organize this small space in a way that each brand can keep its independence. So we used a continuous range of arches that goes through the store and divides the space into 3 zones, also the tables and counter are separated into two parts under the influence of these arches.
A red carpet, colored by hand and natural color along with some gold touches were selected to create a luxury and elegant atmosphere which was demanded. The rest of the store was colored in different shades of grey to highlight and define the different zones for each brand.
Lights are custom made for this project, both in their appearance and also technical specifications. Different lenses have been used for better focusing and presentation of objects and for general lighting.
All these happened to make this small store looks like a stage for a great presentation of the very well designed and beautiful handmade crystals, and the typical store window looks like being eliminated and the outside observer and the customers are affected by the atmosphere of space.
Design in Details
In design, we bring characteristics of the natural world into built spaces, such as water, greenery, and natural light, or elements like wood and stone. Encouraging the use of natural systems and processes in design allows for exposure to nature, and in turn, these design approaches improve health and wellbeing. There are a number of possible benefits, including reduced heart rate variability and pulse rates, decreased blood pressure, and increased activity in our nervous systems, to name a few.
Over time, our connections to the natural world diverged in parallel with technological developments. Advances in the 19th and 20th centuries fundamentally changed how people interact with nature. Sheltered from the elements, we spent more and more time indoors. Today, the majority of people spend almost 80-90% of their time indoors, moving between their homes and workplaces. As interior designers embrace biophilia.

Incredible Result
Establishing multi-sensory experiences, we can design interiors that resonate across ages and demographics. These rooms and spaces connects us to nature as a proven way to inspire us, boost our productivity, and create greater well-being. Beyond these benefits, by reducing stress and enhancing creativity, we can also expedite healing. In our increasingly urbanized cities, biophilia advocates a more humanistic approach to design. The result is biophilic interiors that celebrate how we live, work and learn with nature.
